                               - Task 1- 

Trying out Lab equipment

          


Equipment:


Weighing machine

   Petri dish 

Table sugar 

Two 200ml beakers 

Water in pouring container 

A dropper 

Spatula 

Stopwatch  

 Thermometer 

Sugar 








 Method  (what to do):

  1. Fill the beakers up to 100ml (cold water )

  2. Measure the temperature of the water  (cold water)

  3. Take weighing machine and measure 10 grams of sugar 

  4.  Set timer to zero and pour the sugar  in (cold sugar)

  5. Then start the timer and quickly mix 

  6.  Once all the sugar as dissolved then stop timer 

  7.  And check the timer and we the results 

                                      




                                         Results : 

Cold water - Time dissolved  1:32  - temp 22 degrees 


       Hot water - time dissolved 25 sec - temp 80 degrees
